That's right, we're at week 33! A mere three more Mondays until this season is in the books. As I have done the last couple of years, I hope have your "versus" reports after the season wraps up. We had a mighty small (but not our smallest) showing this week. Only 14 peggers came out to play, including newcomer Charlie Stallings. Welcome Charlie! We hope you had fun, and will come back and play more with us! Henry Update Earlier this evening, I sent out an email to club members and frequent visitors, we are going to sponsor at least one page in the NOCT book this year for Henry. Really, however much space we can pay for, we will. So, anyone reading this out in the interwebs that would like to donate any amount of cash (we're hoping to raise enough for a full-page ad at $125) then hit me up at my email address (or on FB) and I'll give you my Venmo info. OK, so, with only 14 players this week, we paid out 4 places and one team: Andy Wagner took 1st with a 18 / 8 / 135. Card killer Al Robinson was half of the winning team this week. He also has only made points four times this season -- and all four times were when he came in first. So, he's an all-or-nothing kinda guy. Who knew? John Morch took 2nd with a 15 / 7 / 64, and that broke him into the top 10 for the season! WTG John! Steve Podolski took 3rd with a 11 / 5 / 51 Joe Greiner took 4th with a 11 / 5 / 35 The Team: Al Robinson (11) and Roger Doenges (1) Joe also won the poker hand, with a Yahtzee in 7s. The results have been entered into the cribbage.org website, but here are the top 10 in the standings after week 33: Here are the upcoming NC Tournaments:

A very sedate and brief update this week. Our own Henry Douglass was killed in an accident in South Dakota this week. He was driving a Nissan a few miles from Rapids City. He veered for some reason. He hit an embankment, flipped the vehicle several times and eventually it came to rest upside down. He was transported to the Trauma center where he passed away several hours later. Rest in Peace, Henry. You are sorely missed. 19 players | 5 places | 2 teams:: Frank Abernathy took 1st with a 14 / 7 / 81 John Morch took 2nd with a 14 / 7 / 61 Tom Goeschel took 3rd with a 14 / 7 / 44 Bob Hewitt took 4th with a 12 / 6 / 64 Glenn McMahon took 5th with a 12 / 6 / 40 Team 1: Chris Peck (11) and Al Robinson (9) Team 2: Megan Player (11) and Roger Doenges (8) Top 10 below: Hug the ones you love.

See ya'll Monday! (except for the Caniacs who are going to the playoff game) ~ Jennifer Well, the Wolfpack fell to Purdue (sorry) so we were able to play this week (yay us). The bar was remarkably empty considering the championship game was being shown. I guess we only love our own. We have a tournament coming up this weekend, so Curtis Barbour stopped by to get some practice in beforehand. Good to see you, Curtis! We had 20 players overall, and LOTS of points winners. See ya'll Monday! ~ Jennifer In case you missed the last post, playing at club next week depends on whether State makes the finals -- if they do, we don't. The reschedule would be for Memorial Day. So, if it comes to it (GO PACK!) we can entertain an alternate play date if Memorial Day doesn't work. OR we end the season at 35 weeks. BUT we don't have to do anything about that yet. On to this week. We had 23 peggers come out, meaning we paid out 6 places and 3 teams. We had to dig into the 11s for prize money -- we had an overall mediocre week. LOTS of 9s, 10s, and 11s this week. Liz Henderson took 1st with a 15 / 7 / 37 Larry Phifer took 2nd with a 14 / 6 / 129 Jeff Seidenstein took 3rd with a 14 / 6 / 50 Mike Due took 4th with a 12 / 5 / 45 Kristy Haught took 5th with a 11 / 5 / 37 Roger Doenges took 6th with a 11 / 5 / 30 First Team: John Morch (11) and Kelsey Jobe (8) Second Team: Jennifer Johnson (11) and Andy Wagner (8) Third Team: Jerry Gooden (10) and Joe Greiner (9) Poker Hand -- Steve Podolski with quad Aces. Way to go, Steve! Full results can be found on the cribbage.org website, but the top-10 are below. Here are the upcoming NC Tournaments:
